The Mexican tetra, also known as the blind cave fish, blind cave characin, and blind cave tetra, is a freshwater fish of the family Characidae of the order Characiformes.
A very fascinating fish, relying on it's acute sense of smell and electric senses to navigate, almost reminiscent of a Neomorph from Alien! They are found in pitch black cave systems in Mexico, and do not require eyes as a result.
